The Quebec Student Protests are still going on - but now the government and student leaders are sitting down to “negotiate” a deal. Deal with one of these two topics in your blog response.
1. How is this protest similar to Manitoba’s entrance into Confederation
2. Why is there even any negotiations between Government and Students?
1. The protest is like Manitoba’s enterance to the Confederation because the students like the Metis felt the weren’t being consulted on a situation that largely effects their lives. Both started out in a peaceful manner with no intentions to turn violent.

2. The negotiations between the government and the students is an image thing. The government wouldn’t get re-elected if they just ignored the students and also nobody would vote for them if they just did what ever they wanted. It also makes the government look inadequate to have such large scale protests for such a long time.

Do the Quebec Student Protestors have a right to “strike” and use the means that they are using - see video

I don’t agree with the means of the “strike.” Had they had a peaceful protest sur it would be fine but this is no longer a peaceful protest. The protesters are not obeying the law. They are vandalizing property and assaulting police officers and that is not okay.

They have the right to protest but not to strike. Going to university is a not a job they don’t have unsafe work conditions or unfair wages. They pay to go there and if they don’t like it they can go to another province where tution fees are greater. Qubec has the lowest tution fees in the country. It may sucks to pay tution but they don’t have to go to university.

WHAT’S UP WITH, WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL, OR WHO CARES ABOUT THE ROBOCALL FIASCO
People are upset about the robocall fiasco because it took away their right to vote. Canada is a democracy and we have the right to vote but someone took that right away. Quite simply our democratic rights have been denied and laws been broken. The law has beem broken and all we want is justice. Is that not fair?

I opened my phone today to see 4 unread texts from Sarah.
I opened them and read.
“Tell me my copy is missing the last twenty pages or something.”
“Sophie, tell me I have not reached the end of this book.”
“OH, MY GOD WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS”
“I guess Hazel died and so it just ends? CRUEL. Text me when you can. Hope all’s ok”
I melted.
I so wish this would happen to me!
